The Accra Institute of Technology admits students to read degree programs with different qualifications.

WASSCE Applicants, Admission Requirements At AIT
- Core Mathematics (A1-C6)

- Integrated Science (A1-C6)

plus three relevant Electives or their equivalence.
SSSCE Applicants, Admission Requirements At AIT
- Core Mathematics (A1-D5)
- English Language (A1-D5)
- Integrated Science (A1-D5)
- Social Studies (A1-D5)
plus three appropriate Electives or their equivalence
IGCSE (GCE ‘O’ LEVEL) Holders, Admissions At AIT
Applicants must obtain Six IGCSE (G.C.E. O-Level) passes,
including Mathematics, English, and Science, together with at least three
‘A-Level passes (with grades A-D)
Other Qualifications, Admission Requirements At AIT
Applicants with equivalent to the certificates mentioned
above approved by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana can also apply for
admission into the school.
Also, AIT admits students with the following certificates:
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma; and
- American or Canadian High School Diploma Certificate
French Baccalaureate Holders, Admission Requirements At AIT
Candidates must provide the original copy of their score
and a translated copy in English.
GCE O And A-Level, Applicants, Admission Requirements At AIT
Applicants must obtain two GCE Advanced Level passes in Science and five GCE Ordinary Level credits in Science. Two of the GCE Ordinary Level credits should be English and Mathematics.
AIT’s CTech/Dtech Certificate Holders, Requirement At AIT
Holders of AIT’s CTech/DTech qualifications must meet the minimum score and other requirements stipulated by the AIT Academic Standards Board.
HNC/HND Holders, Admission Requirements At AIT
HNC/HND Holders with Second Class Lower qualifications or better must obtain an equivalent of the program the candidate is applying to study. Qualified HNC holders will be admitted into Level 200 of the degree program, and The University will accept holders of HND on a top-up program that starts at Level 300 of the degree program.
Mature Applicants, Admission Requirements At AIT
- Mature applicants will write a university entrance examination in three papers (General Mathematics, English Language, and General Studies), equivalent to WASSCE/SSSCE.
- The University will accept candidates with a pass mark of 60% or above in each paper.
- The candidate will have to pass an interview conducted by the University.
